PRP, or platelet rich plasma, injections are a revolutionary pain relief treatment that promotes healing and helps regenerate soft tissue. Platelets contain large amounts of proteins known as growth factors, and when spun in a centrifuge, the concentration of these cells becomes higher. When injected directly into the site of an injury, the platelet rich plasma stimulates healing and encourages the growth of healthy tissue.
What is PRP?
PRP is blood that has been spun in a centrifuge at high speeds. This separates it and produces a high concentration of platelets, which act as your body’s natural clotting cells. How Are PRP Injections Performed?
